Located in Bristol County, Massachusetts, Dighton is home to about 8,000 community members along the western shore of the Taunton River. The police department is dedicated to maintaining peace and tranquility, preventing crime, preserving order and protecting the rights, lives and property of its community members.
A Message from the Chief
The mission of every officer at the Dighton PD is to enforce the laws of the Commonwealth and serve the community with professionalism and integrity, putting a real emphasis on community policing. We strongly believe in community engagement and find that most problems are often best addressed by working in partnership with citizens. With this, it is our goal to continually strive to improve public relations and increase public confidence.
In closing, I’d like to genuinely acknowledge and thank the dedicated and committed sworn and civilian members of the Dighton Police and Communications Department who serve you daily. Without their hard work, our goals and initiatives would not be possible.
