DIGHTON — The Dighton Police and Fire Departments hosted an annual 9/11 memorial ceremony this morning to memorialize those who died as a result of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.
The ceremony was held at the town’s 9/11 memorial outside of Dighton Fire Station 2.
Police Chief Robert MacDonald and Fire Chief Christopher Maguy were in attendance along with Town Administrator Mallory Aronstein, Selectman Ken Pacheco and multiple residents.
To mark the occasion, the fire department sounded sirens at the times when each of the two World Trade Center towers fell on that fateful day.
